Have you always wondered what a 1933 Chevy would look like as a woody, or
a 51 Ford Wagon not as a woody? Whatever your imagination can dream up,
Pinkee's can build. Eric has a knack for building cars today with a
vision as he feels they would have been built in the 30's, 40's or 50's if
they had today's technology. What would Henry Ford have done with a 1951
Wagon if there were no such thing as a woody? What would a 1941 Cadillac
debuting at the Worlds Fair look like in the day?
Whatever your vision, Pinkee's can build you the car of your dreams.
Not only does Pinkee's do full, ground-up builds, but we can also do
repairs or updates to your car. Anything from wiring, new suspension,
plumbing A/C or anything else your car needs to make it safer and/or more
enjoyable.
When having a car built from the ground up at Pinkee's here is the process
you (and your car) can expect to go through.

Consult
To start your project, you will meet with Eric and discuss your
vision. You can bring in pictures, look through Eric's extensive library
of magazines and books or even bring in a drawing on a napkin to get
started. Eric will get an understanding of the style of car you want and
from there will work with an artist to put your ideas on paper.
Design/Review
Eric will commission an artist to begin sketching the car,
this may take a few times of looking at drawings and changing things or
the artist might nail it on the first drawing. The drawings start out as
pretty simple sketches and once the final concept is landed on, a full
color rendering will be created. These renderings will keep everyone on
the same page and used as a guide while building the car, they also make
great artwork to hang on an office or home wall. A few of the artist we
use are Jimmy Smith of Jimmy Smith Hot Rod Designs in Arizona and Rodney
Hutcherson of Total Kaos Design in Houston, TX

Fabrication
This is what Pinkee's is known for - cutting, chopping,
grinding steel. We love metal and have all of the equipment and tools to
make it beautiful and functional. If you live out of state, we will send
you email pictures or mail you pictures of the progess. We would love for
you to make visits as well to see how things are progressing. If you live
in Colorado, you can come by anytime to check things out. We have some
customers that stop by once a week and others that only see the car
in pictures until it is finished. We will work with you to get you
updates any way that you prefer.
Pinkee's sends cars off to various paint shops throughout the
country. We can make the arrangements or if you have a paint shop you
have worked with in the past, we can use them too. Some of the painters that we use include: Squeegs in Scottsdale, AZ, Soncy
Road Body Shop in Amarillo, TX, Custom Design in Ft. Collins, CO, and Nice
Rides Restoration in LaSalle, CO.
Assembly/Chassis
We are dealers for the most innovative, high-tech chassis vendors. We will get what you need to make your chassis perform and look incredible as well.
After paint, the car comes back to Pinkee's for wiring,
final chassis work and assembly before going off for upholstery.
Upholstery
Again, we use a variety of upholstery shops. It really depends on the
customers preference as to which upholstery shop the car will go to. Some
upholstery shops that we use include; PJ's in Denver, CO, and Dougs Auto
Upholstery in Iowa.
Final Detail
After upholstery the car comes back to Pinkee's for final
assembly and detailing. Then it is off to a show or to the owner's home.
